FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS REPORTING AMENDMENT ACT
NO.20 OF 2002

An Act to amend the Financial Transactions Reporting Act No. 33 of 2000

Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows-

1 Amendment

The Financial Transactions Reporting Act No. 33 of 2000 is amended as set out in the Schedule.

2 Commencement

This Act commences on 1 January 2003.

AMENDMENT OF THE FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS REPORTING ACT NO. 33 OF 2000

1. Paragraph 2(c)

Repeal the paragraph, substitute

“(c) a licensee within the meaning of the International Banking Act No. 4 of 2002;”.

Explanatory Note

The purpose of this Bill is to make a minor amendment to the Financial Transactions Reporting Act consequential upon the introduction of the new International Banking Act.
