CHEQUE TAX (REPEAL) ACT
NO. 27 OF 2002

An Act to repeal the Cheque Tax Act [CAP 181].

Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows-

1 Repeal of Act

The Cheque Tax Act [CAP 181] is repealed.

2 Commencement

This Act commences on 1 July 2003.

BILL FOR THE CHEQUE TAX (REPEAL) ACT
NO. 27 OF 2002

Explanatory Note

The purpose of this Bill is to repeal the Cheque Tax Act [CAP 181]. The Act will no longer be enforced once the Debit Tax Bill comes into effect.
