BUSINESS LICENCE (AMENDMENT) ACT

An Act to amend the Business Licence Act No. 19 of 1998

Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows-

1 Amendments

The Business Licence Act No. 19 of 1998 is amended as set out in the Schedule.

2 Commencement

This Act commences on 1 January 2001.

1 Schedule 1

(a)            Delete "5 000"(wherever occurring), substitute "5 100";
(b)            Delete "10 000"(wherever occurring), substitute "10 200";
(c)            Delete "20 000"(wherever occurring), substitute "20 400";
(d)            Delete "90 000"(wherever occurring), substitute "91 800";
(e)            Delete "200 000", substitute "204 000";
(f)             Delete "300 000", substitute "306 000";
(g)            Delete "5 000 000", substitute "5 100 000".

Explanatory Note

This Bill amends the Business Licence Act No. 19 of 1998 so as to increase fees payable under the Act.
