REPUBLIC OF VANUATU

BUSINESS LICENCE (AMENDMENT) ACT
NO. 9 of 999

An Act to amend the Business Licence Act No. 19 of 1998 (the "Principal Act").

BE IT ENACTED by the President and Parliament as follows:

AMENDMENT OF SECTION 1
1. Section 1 of the Principal Act is amended by inserting the following definition in the correct alphabetical position:

"'licence authority' means a licensing authority referred to in section 3;".

AMENDMENT OF SECTION 4

2. Section 4 of the Principal Act is amended by:

(a) deleting "VT 100,000" and substituting "VT500,000";

(b) deleting "three (3)' and substituting "six (6)".

APPLICATION

3. The amendment made by this Act apply in relation to an application for a licence or renewal of a licence if that application:

(a) was made before the commencement of this Act, but was not finally determined before that commencement; or

(b) is made on or after the commencement of this Act.

COMMENCEMENT

4. This Act commences on the day on which it is published in the Gazette.
