1. Amendment of section 1 of the Joint Regulation No. 57 of 1973.
2. Amendment of section 2 of the principal Act.
3. Commencement.

THE AIRPORT DEPARTURE TAX (AMENDMENT) ACT

NO. 3 OF 1988

An Act to amend the Joint Airport Departure Tax Regulation No. 57 of 1913.

BE IT ENACTED by the President and Parliament as follows:-

AMENDMENT OF SECTION 1 OF THE JOINT REGULATION No. 57 OF 1973

1. Section 1 of the Joint Airport Departure Tax Regulation (principal Act) as amended is further amended in proviso to that section by the substitution for the paragraph (i) of the following paragraph:-

"(i) any passenger being an official of the Government of the Republic of Vanuatu who holds an official or a diplomatic passport;"

AMENDMENT OF SECTION 2 OF THE PRINCIPAL ACT

2. Section 2 of the principal Act as amended is further amended by the substitution for the words 'VT1, 000' of the words 'VT1, 500'.

COMMENCEMENT

3. This Act shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.
