ABSINTHE (PROHIBITION)

To prohibit the importation, fabrication and sale of absinthe in Vanuatu.

IMPORTATION, ETC., OF ABSINTHE PROHIBITED

1. The manufacture, importation, circulation and sale wholesale or by retail of absinthe or similar liquors in Vanuatu shall be prohibited.

PENALTIES FOR CONTRAVENTION

2. Any person found guilty of a contravention of this Act shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding VT30,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 30 days or to one or other of these penalties.
