TRAFFIC (AMENDMENT) ACT 2009

AN ACT TO MAKE AMENDMENT TO THE TRAFFIC ACT TO MAKE IT AN OFFENCE FOR A PERSON TO DRIVE A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH AN EXPIRED DRIVING LICENSE.

1 Short Title and Commencement

This Act may be cited as the Traffic (Amendment) Act 2009 and shall come into force on such date as the Minister by notice appoint.

2 Amendment of the Traffic Act

The Traffic Act is amended by inserting a new provision as follows —

"Section 13(2). It shall be an offence for any person to drive a motor vehicle upon a public road while that person's driving license is expired or not renewed in accordance with section 17"
