AN ACT to authorise an appropriation of moneys out of the Consolidated Fund for recurrent expenditure for the service of the year ending 31 December 1995.


ENACTED by the Parliament of Tuvalu -


Short title


1. This Act may be cited as the 1995 Appropriation Act 1994.


Authorisation of expenditure


2. The Minister may, by warrant under his hand authorise the issue from the Consolidated Fund, for the service of Tuvalu for the financial year ending 31 December 1995 of a sum not exceeding nine millions, three hundred and seventy-four thousands and one hundred and thirty-eight dollars ($9,374,138.00) which sum shall be appropriated in accordance with the schedule for the purposes specified.

EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM
(This memorandum is not part of the Act)


This Act authorises the appropriation of moneys from the Consolidated Fund of Tuvalu in accordance with section 165 of the Constitution. This appropriation amounting to nine millions, three hundred and seventy-four thousands and one hundred and thirty-eight dollars ($9,374,138.00) will meet the expenditures by the Government in the financial year ending 31 December 1995 as detailed in the National Budget for 1995 presented to Parliament by the Honourable Minister of Finance and Economic Planning.
