MARRIAGE OF BRITISH SUBJECTS (FACILITIES).


AN ACT TO FACILITATE MARRIAGES BETWEEN BRITISH SUBJECTS RESIDENT IN SOLOMON ISLANDS AND BRITISH SUBJECTS RESIDENT IN THE UNITED KINGDOM.

Short title


1. This Act may be cited for all purposes as the Marriage of British Subjects (Facilities) Act.


Issue of certificate for marriage where British subject resident in Solomon Islands is to be married in United Kingdom

2. Where a marriage is intended to be solemnized or contracted in the United Kingdom between a British subject resident there, and a British subject resident in Solomon Islands, a certificate for marriage may be issued in Solomon Islands by a Registrar of Marriages appointed under the Pacific Islands Civil Marriages Order in Council 1907, in the like manner as if the marriage was to be solemnized or contracted under circumstances requiring the issue of such certificate and as if both such British subjects were resident in Solomon Islands.
