ARRANGEMENT OF SECTIONS.

MADE under the Unclaimed Moneys Act 1963.

1. REGISTER OF UNCLAIMED MONEYS.

The register of unclaimed moneys to be kept by a company or firm under Section 6 of the Act shall–

(a) be in Form 1 and contained in a bound book with each folio consecutively numbered; and

(b) contain a record of all the particulars required in that form.

2. STATEMENT TO ACCOMPANY PAYMENT.

The statement to accompany the payment of unclaimed moneys to an accountable officer under Section 7(1) of the Act shall be in Form 2.

3. INSPECTION OF REGISTER.

The Unclaimed Moneys Fund Register shall be open for inspection at the Department of Finance at Port Moresby at all times during which that Department is open for business.

4. DECLARATION OF SECRECY.

For the purposes of Section 8(2) of the Act, the declaration of secrecy required to be made by the Registrar or a person authorized by him, before making an inspection, shall be in Form 3.

5. APPLICATION FOR PAYMENT OF UNCLAIMED MONEYS.

An application for payment of unclaimed moneys shall be made in Form 4, or in such other manner as the Departmental Head thinks sufficient in the circumstances.
