ARRANGEMENT OF SECTIONS.

INDEPENDENT STATE OF PAPUA NEW GUINEA.

AN ACT

entitled

Boards (Fees and Allowances) Act 1955,

Being an Act to provide for the payment of fees and allowances to members of Boards.

  1. INTERPRETATION.

In this Act, “Board” means a Board or Committee established or constituted by or under any law, other than the Parliament or a Committee of the Parliament.

  1. APPROVED BOARDS.

The Minister may, by notice in the National Gazette, approve a Board for the purposes of this Act.

  1. FEES AND ALLOWANCES.

Notwithstanding anything in any law, the Minister may pay to a member of a Board approved under Section 2 (other than a member who is an officer of the Public Service) such fees and allowances as the Minister from time to time determines.
