AN ACT

to make money laundering an offence for which a person may be extradited

1 Short title

(1) This Act may be cited as the Extradition Act 1998.

2 Commencement

(1) This Act shall come into force or shall be deemed to have come into force on the same date as the Proceeds of Crime Act 1998.

3 Extradition Act 1965 amended

(1) The Extradition Act 1965 of New Zealand as extended to and in force in Niue by virtue of section 320 of the Niue Act 1966 is amended by inserting in Part II of the First Schedule to that Act the following item-

"The Proceeds of Crime Act 1998 ... 64 ... Money laundering".

The Niue Assembly passed this Act on the 26^th day of November 1998.
