An Ordinance to provide for the censorship of Cinema and other Films
Short
title and
commencement.
1.†
This Ordinance may be cited as the
Cinematograph
Censorship Ordinance
1927-67.
Definition.

In this Ordinance "Films" shall mean and include all cinematograph and other
films used for the displaying of pictures and
scenes to the
public.
Films
to be passed by censor before
display.
3.†
No film shall be publicly displayed unless and until it has been submitted to,
and has been fully approved and passed by the
censor, who shall be appointed for
that purpose by the Administrator, and whose decision shall be
final.
Censor
may require private view of
film.
4.†
When so required by the censor, the person desirous of displaying a film or
picture shall accord the censor a private view
of such film or picture, at such
time and place as may be approved by the
censor.
Penalty.
5.
† Penalty for breach or non-observance shall be a fine of Fifty dollars,
and, in addition, confiscation of the
picture.
