THE ISLAND OF NAURU
No. 1 of 1955
AN ORDINANCE
To amend the Criminal Code of Queensland in its application to the Island of Nauru.
BE
it ordained by the Administrator of the Island of Nauru in pursuance of the
powers conferred by Article 1 of the Agreement dated
the second day of July,
1919, between the Government of the United Kingdom, the Government of the
Commonwealth of Australia and the
Government of the Dominion of New Zealand as
follows:-
Short
title
1.
This Ordinance may be cited as the
Criminal Code
Amendment Ordinance
1955.
Definition
2.
In this Ordinance, "the Criminal Code" means the First Schedule to
The Criminal Code
Act, 1899 of the State of Queensland as
in force in the Island of
Nauru.
Amendment
of the Criminal
Code
3.
- (1.) The sections of the Criminal Code specified in the first column of the
Schedule to this Ordinance are amended as respectively
specified in the second
column of the Schedule.
(2)
Sections six hundred and fifty-five and six hundred and sixty-six of the
Criminal Code are repealed.
