SILRC HomepageThe Solomon Islands Law Reform Commission is a statutory body set up to review the laws of Solomon Islands. The SILRC makes recommendations to the Government about how the law should be changed.
News The SILRC launched its Consultation Paper on the land below high water mark and low water mark on October 28 2009. A copy of that paper is available in the Publications Library or from the SILRC office in Honiara. This is the second reference or project that the SILRC pursues. The SILRC will be doing consultation on this project in 2010. The SILRC is also still doing consultation on the Penal Code. During 2009 the SILRC visited all of the provinces in Solomon Islands except Makira for this purpose. The SILRC invites and encourages all interested people to make submissions on the two projects. Submissions can be made to the SILRC by mail, telephone, fax, email or by hand delivery to the office. Contact the SILRC office for more information about consultation meetings and workshops.
