REPUDIATION AND TERMINATION OF CONTRACT OF EMPLOYMENT (SUGAR CANE GROWERS' COUNCIL) DECREE 2007

(INTERIM GOVERNMENT DECREE NO. 1)

IN exercise of the powers vested in the Interim Government and whereas it is necessary in the interest of the people of Fiji to do because of the moribund state of the Sugar Cane Industry and because of mismanagement of it, I, Josefa Iloilovatu Uluivuda, President of the Republic of the Fiji Islands on the advice of Cabinet make this Decree.

Short title and commencement

1. This Decree may be cited as the Termination of Contract of Employment (Sugar Cane Growers' Council) Decree 2007 and comes into force immediately upon its enactment.

Termination of Contract of Chief Executive Officer of the Sugar cane Growers' Council

2. The Chief Executive Officer of the Sugar Cane Growers' Council, Jagnath Sami, is hereby forthwith dismissed from office and his contract of employment is hereby forthwith repudiated and terminated.
