AN ACT

TO AMEND THE TRUST ACCOUNT ACT 1996

ENACTED by the Parliament of the Fiji Islands-

Short title and commencement

1. This Act may be cited as the Trust Accounts (Amendment) Act 2002 and comes into force on a date appointed by the Minister by notice in the Gazette.

Distribution from Contribution Fund

2. The Trust Accounts Act 1996 is amended in section 22(1)(b) by repealing subparagraph (i) and substituting the following subparagraph-

"(i) 60% to a fund to be known as the Legal Aid Fund to meet the costs and expenses of the Legal Aid Commission established by the Legal Aid Act 1996;".
