AN ACT

TO AMEND THE TRUST ACCOUNTS ACT

ENACTED by the Parliament of the Fiji Islands-

Short title

1. This act may be cited as the Trust Accounts (Amendment) Act 1998.

Interpretation

2. Section 2 of the Trust Accounts Act 1996 (No. 15 of 1996) is amended in the definition of "Minister" by deleting "Minister for Justice" and substituting "Minister responsible for the administration of this Act, and includes the Attorney-General if he or she is so responsible".

Confidentiality

3. Section 27 of the Trust Accounts Act 1996 is amended in paragraph (b) by adding "(if not the Attorney-General)" after "Minister".

Passed by the House of Representatives this 10th day of August, 1998.

Passed by the Senate this 7th day of September, 1998.
