PRESCRIPTION OF SALARIES (AMENDMENT) ACT 2002

AN ACT

TO AMEND THE PRESCRIPTION OF SALARIES ACT

[1st January, 2001]

ENACTED by the Parliament of the Fiji Islands-

Short title and commencement

1.-(1) This Act may be cited as the Prescription of Salaries (Amendment) Act 2002.

(2) This Act is deemed to have come into force on 1st January 2001.

Section 2 amended

2. Section 2 of the Prescription of Salaries Act (Cap. 2) is amended by re-numbering the existing provision as subsection (1) and inserting the following subsection-

"(2) The Higher Salaries Commission established under the Higher Salaries Commission Act may, by order in the Gazette, amend the Schedule.".

Schedule amended

3. The Schedule to the Prescription of Salaries Act (Cap. 2) is amended as set out in the Schedule to this Act-
