AN ACT

FOR AN ACT TO AMEND THE PENSIONS ACT 1983

ENACTED by the Parliament of Fiji-

Short title and commencement, etc

1.-(1) This Act may be cited as the Pensions (Amendment) Act 1998.

(2) This Act is deemed to have commenced on 1st January 1998.

(3) In this Act, "principal Act" means the Pensions Act 1983.

Section 16 amended

2. Section 16 of the principal Act is amended-

(a) in subsection (1) by deleting "fifty" and substituting "sixty"; and

(b) in subsection (2) by deleting "fifty" and substituting "sixty".

Passed by the House of Representatives this Eighteenth day of March, in year of our Lord One Thousand, Nine Hundred and Ninety-Eight.

Passed by the Senate this Eighth day of April, in the year of our Lord One Thousand, Nine Hundred and Ninety-Eight.
