MARINE (MASTERS AND SEAMEN) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2006

IN exercise of the powers conferred upon me under Sections 143 and 212 of the Marine (Amendment) Act 2005, I make these Regulations -

Citation

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Marine (Masters and Seamen) (Amendment) Regulations 2006.

Regulation 40 amended

2. Regulation 40 of the Marine (Masters and Seamen) Regulations 1990 is amended -

(a) by revoking subregulation (8) and substituting the following subregulation -

"(8) For the purpose of subregulation (2), the registration fee of a seaman and issuance of the Seaman Employment Record Book is $30.90; and

(b) by adding the following subregulation -

"(9) The fee for replacing a lost or defaced Seaman Employment Record Book is $51.50"
