AN ACT

TO AMEND THE JUDGES' REMUNERATION AND EMOLUMENTS ACT

ENACTED by the Parliament of the Fiji Islands-

Short title and definition

1.-(1) This Act may be cited as the Judges' Remuneration and Emoluments (Amendment) Act 1999.

(2) In this Act, "principal Act" means the Judges' Remuneration and Emoluments Act (Cap. 16).

Pensions

2. Section 6 of the principal Act is amended in subsection (1) by deleting "fifty" and substituting "sixty".

Widows' pensions and other entitlements

3. Section 7 of the principal Act is amended in subsections (1) and (2) by deleting "one half" and substituting "sixty percent" in both subsections.
