An Act to amend the Trustee Companies Act 1981-82

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of the Cook Islands in Session assembled and by the authority of the same as follows:

1. Short Title - This Act may be cited as the Trustee Companies Amendment Act 1989 and shall be read together and deemed part of the Trustee Companies Act 1981-82 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act").

2. Applicant to satisfy criteria - Subsection (1) of section 5B of the principal Act (as inserted by Section 6 of the Trustee Companies Amendment Act 1987) is amended by deleting the words "after taking into account the recommendations of the Advisory Committee".

3. Board to refer applications to Advisory Committee - Section 5A of the principal Act (as inserted by Section 6 the Trustee Companies Amendment Act 1987) is repealed.
