An Act to amend the Criminal Records Act 1991

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of the Cook Islands in Session assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

1. Short Title - This Act may be cited the Criminal Records Amendment Act 1991.

2. Summary Conviction - The Criminal Records Act 1991 is amended by adding to Section 2, immediately after the definition of the words "Period of Probation", the following new definition:

"Summary Conviction" means, for the purpose of this Act, a conviction recorded for any offence punishable by imprisonment for a period of 1 year or less and a maximum fine of $1000 or less;"
