CONSTITUTION AMENDMENT (NO. 19) ACT 1995-96

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of the Cook Islands in Session assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:


1. Short Title and commencement - (1) This Act may be cited as the Constitution Amendment (No. 19) Act 1995-96 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Constitution of the Cook Islands (hereinafter referred to as "the Constitution").


(2) This Act shall come into force on the date that it is assented to by the Queen's Representative.


2. Persons entitled to permanent residence - Article 76A of the Constitution (as enacted by section 13 of the Constitution Amendment (No. 9) Act 1980-81) is hereby amended by adding the following new paragraph (e) in subclause (3)


"(e) prescribe the number of permanent residence certificates that may for the time being, be in effect."
