An Act to amend the Cook Islands Arms Ordinance 1954

(4 April 1977

BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Assembly of the Cook Islands in Session assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

1. Short Title and Commencement

(1) This Act may be cited as the Arms Ordinance Amendment Act 1977 and shall be read together and deemed part of the Cook Islands Arms Ordinance 1954 (hereinafter referred to as 'the Ordinance').

(2) This Act shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of April 1977.

2. Fees

Section 29 of the Ordinance is hereby repealed and the following new section substituted:

"29. (1) The following fees shall be payable under this Act:

• (a) For every original certificate of registration of a firearm - $10.00
• (b) For every original certificate of registration of a firearm issued in replacement of a lost or destroyed certificate - $1.50

(2) No such certificate shall be issued until the fee has been paid."

This Act is administered in the Police Department.
