An Act to amend the Aged, Destitute and Infirm Persons Relief Act 1966

BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Assembly of the Cook Islands in Session assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Aged, Destitute and Infirm Persons Relief Amendment Act 1977, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Aged, Destitute and Infirm Persons Relief Act 1966 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act").

2. Rate of Pension

Section 5 of the principal Act (as substituted by section 2 of the Aged, Destitute and Infirm Persons Relief Amendment Act 1976) is hereby repealed and the following section substituted:-

"5. Pensions shall be paid as from the fourth day of August 1977 at the rate of two hundred and sixty dollars per annum".

This Act is administered by the Department of Internal Affairs.
