An Act to amend the Infants Act 1908

[23 November 1967


BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


1. Short Title - This Act may be cited as the Infants Amendment Act 1967, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Infants Act 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).


2. Interpretation - Section 2 of the principal Act is hereby amended by adding, as subsection (2), the following sub-section:


“(2) In this Part of this Act (other than in sections 3 to 5 of the Guardianship of Infants Act 1926) the term ‘infant’ shall, unless the context otherwise requires, include an illegitimate child.”
